Lousy PSA

Dear Parents,

Head lice have been discovered at our school in Class 7. To prevent further spread we are requesting that you check your child CAREFULLY. Head lice are small insects. They lay their eggs called nits in the hair usually around the base of the hairline on the back of the head and near the ears. The eggs look like dew drops. Head lice are transmitted from one person to another through shared use of grooming aids such as combs, brushes; headgear such as hats, headbands, caps, wigs, curlers, items shared in lockers and the like. Lice do not fly, hop or jump. Because of the way young children intermingle and share items, lice are passed around very easily. Whether or not a child has head lice has nothing to do with cleanliness. Head lice are not selective, anyone can get them.

If you have any questions, contact your physician or pharmacist. Also, there is information on the internet that is very helpful.

Sincerely,
(Children's Center Director)

If lice did in fact have to do w/ the lack of cleanliness, there's no doubt in my mind we'd be top breeders . Anything that tries to attach, reproduce and spread on my boys hopefully suffers a set-back on Thursdays when we have swim class.

Jeremiah recently alerted me that the next time he bathed would be when we have a wedding to go to. I'm super excited about Sol and Nicol's impending nuptials.
