This 1980 remake of the 1930s comic strip is a classic all by itself. Thanks to a rockin' soundtrack, campy dialog, outrageous costumes and Max Von Sydow as the villain of villains who attempts to force Dale to marry him, Flash Gordon has somehow lodged itself in my brain for 20+ years.
