roof open, windows down

Nice to remember what it feels like to have cool, moving air rearrange the hair on your arm as it dangles out the car door, wind tossing it about. Heat singes and scorches the best smells. Tar on a hot street just smells hot and sticky. When outside temps are "reasonable", stuff just smells a lot better. Honeysuckle and jasmine's delicate fragrances are so much more easily detectable on cool mornings.

Reminds me of the label on Häagen-Dazs pints: To deliver the best flavor and texture, Most Häagen-Dazs products should be allowed to soften slightly
at room temperature for approximately10 minutes before serving.

smells and flavors and textures, ahhhhh
