frame of reference in the crosshairs

The other night we all went up to Jeremiah's school to join their 10th birthday celebration. To kick off the festivities, the 7th and 8th grade orchestra played a stirring medley of disco tunes. As the audience of celebrants was busily and enthusiastically YMCA-ing their arms in the air, Jeremiah leans over to me and says, "See that really big woodwind? The bassoon? It looks kinda like an RPG."
