spot on

recent email excerpt from a friend: This bike racing thing is a lot like being hooked on cocaine. Makes us super skinny. Makes us broke. Makes us feel good and tears us up. Breaks up families. We feel good for very short periods, then spend most of our time trying to get that little fix again. Except that for rock stars it is cool, and for us it is sad.

Well clearly I'm not racing nearly enough. My family is still in tact and I have yet to reach "super skinny." But double check on the feeling good and triple check on being torn up.
