I wish I could heet ewe AND one man's book is another man's missile

This is an altogether fascinating book. What especially excites me is Mason has really taken to it. So much that it stays in the car so he can look stuff up. "Mama, show me duh blue one wiff duh cwest on his head, duh BlueJay ." or "Which one came fwom a dinosaur?" Along with this piece of reference material, we have copious amounts of food scraps, random toy parts, peepee as well as dry underpants, wipes (used and unused) and just plain old garbage. The car's not a lease, but I still feel like if the dealership knew how we routinely trashed the interior, they'd repo the thing on principle.

After picking up Jeremiah from school today and dropping his friend off at home, we headed back on over to our neighborhood. 99 times out of 100 we get stopped at the signal at Gaston and Munger because that light is timed exactly opposite of my driving schedule, regardless the time of day or night. The guys had been engaging in low level bickering and general teasing. Low level because it didn't really require me to intercede or to use my Stretch Armstrong powers to pinch a leg or swat indiscriminately behind me. But at one point after Jeremiah slobbered on his own hand and wiped it on Mason's leg, Mason decided things had escalated enough that he needed to issue a threat. It was totally premeditated, and really in my opinion a little unwise to give Jeremiah that much of a heads up.
Sneak attacks and wily ambushes are how Jeremiah rolls, but Mason likes to notify his opponent.
"Der-uh-my-uh, next time we stop I am doh-ing to unbuckle my seat belt and fro dat book at choo!" The book was on the floor under his feet just out of reach. I often allow them after painful minutes of earnest pleading and begging to unbuckle when the car isn't in motion and retrieve a dropped light saber, action figure pistol or piece of string cheese. So clearly Mason was trying to follow at least some of the letter of my very gray law and wait until it was permissible to assault his brother. I kind of appreciated him being so thoughtful about the whole process. That book is pretty darned heavy. It's not the unabridged version or anything, so I "ran" the very yellow light at Gaston and Munger because I just knew the book would have left a mark.
