summertime hypertexting like a mofo
once upon a time summer vacation began...
shucky darns. i entirely missed posting in july. that is extra lame-o. almost as lame-o as posting only once a month.
hugely fun and entertaining summer -- road trip to santa fe and crested butte; shreveport cousin visit; austin trip for cousins, aunts and uncles; orch camp for mason; volunteer job at scottish rite for jeremiah; acupuncture and a near midlife crisis for me as the result of a season down the toilet; subaru joining the motor pool; more movies then i can catalog; many starbux rescues and work lunches w pops; baking galore; ptde* leading to my inevitable ptsd; roller skating; later bedtimes; hiking around white rock lake; binge watching various netflix series w boys; home made ice cream; sunday brunches at old monk; museum visits; hwy deck park; sister visits; early morning walks solo or w bk; tapas to celebrate running of the bulls; investigating various dog parks; hitting katy trail w boys and pabu; late night bookstore trips; visiting boulangerie new to neighborhood w delectable financiers and croissants , "fancy" donut stores, brewery tour; fellas earning $$$ for savings mowing lawns; and NO bike riding for me all summer (see near midlife crisis above and perhaps a later post about my 2015 pbp that never was). and that was all in one breath. most people's summer takes 2 or 3 breaths, but i am not competing.
there is muchmuch more i've already forgotten -- the crappy days (thank goodness), funny jokes the boys told, when we saw out first firefly, which station had the cheapest gas all summer, when i decided my blue atlas cedar would actually survive the heat, where i stashed postcards i intended to send but still haven't, stuff like that.
only two "real" summers left before jeremiah packs up his footlocker and ships out to collegelandia. ah, adolescence. this is pretty much the same as this.
