been syringe feeding "spiny", our 2 y.o. bahaman anole, for about a month now.  he's gained back 1 whole gram. this is progress for a creature weighing only 5 or so g at all.  

mason is lizard man.  mason loves reptiles.  for several years now he has adamantly proclaimed as a profession he wants to be not a fireman or police officer or cowboy or game designer but a crocodile wrangler. when he was in preschool, lawson had to come home from work the day mason found out dinosaurs were extinct. to say he was devastated does not begin to tell it.

along w their packing lists for various weekend and big trips alike, the boys stick their xmas and bday wish lists on the fridge.  mason's bday is in a couple of weeks.  so far the only thing his list says is for spiny to get better.  this one's going to hurt, i'm afraid.  i sure hope that little lizard proves me wrong.
