from time to time i throw out a conversation opener to get them thinking about future plans, not usually procreation oriented, but i was curious, so today i asked what their kids' names might be.

jeremiah's boys' names -- magnus and barrack. yes, as in military accommodations.

mason's test tube boys since he will not be having sex w any human female - gazhulk (accent on the gaz) and thraka.

if i start practicing now, i may be able to say these names w a straight face when down the road grandchildren do become an eventuality.

disturbingly, there seems to be a chinese mentality here of girls having little or no value. never was the possibility discussed of having girls, even though i did point out how all four of these names were not at all gender specific. ok, magnus as a girl may end up w a wardrobe filled w denim and flannel, but that's ok w me.
